Does this cost anything?
No. The llms.txt generator is free, no signup required, no limits.
Does the generator read private pages or require login?
No. It reads only your publicly accessible sitemap.xml and the public pages listed in it. It never reads authenticated content.
What if my site doesn't have a sitemap?
The generator will try standard sitemap paths (/sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml) and fall back to probing common page patterns. You can also add a sitemap to improve the output — we include instructions in the file.
Do I need to regenerate it regularly?
Regenerate it whenever you add major new sections or pages. For most sites, quarterly is fine. It's a static file — there's no ongoing cost to keeping it current.
Does it guarantee AI engines will recommend me?
